Amanda Lynn

Amanda comes from Peach Bottom, PA. Growing up, Amanda says she was taught to appreciate all genres of music but credits her Poppaw and Mom for her love and passion for bluegrass and country music. She often jokes, “being named after a mandolin, I didn’t have a choice.”

After high school, Amanda moved to West Tennessee to attended Bethel University to study Music Business. While at Bethel, she toured most of the east coast and mid-west as the bassist in the school’s bluegrass program. She was also given the incredible opportunity to work for the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) as part of her college experience.

After school, Amanda returned to Pennsylvania and looked for a career to use her degree in. She wandered into the country station she’d listened to her whole life, 103.7 WXCY, and asked if there were any positions open. A quick tour of the traffic studio later, and she was hooked.

Eight years later, she’s now WXCY’s Promotions Director along with a full-time on-air personality. She loves meeting fellow music lovers and WXCY listeners all across the area. She says, “the #1 radio preset in every car my family ever owned has always been set to 103.7. To say that I love my job is a complete understatement. Music is magic in how it brings people together. Being a part of the way people listen to music is something I’ll never, ever take for granted.” Amanda hopes to continue sharing the music she loves with others, and meeting as many people as she can by way of doing it.

When Amanda isn’t in the studio she can be found trying out a new local brewery, tapping her toes to some live music with Mama Judy, draped in tie dye at a bluegrass festival, or simply hanging out at home with her two doodles, Hudson and Sadie.
